FYI, Iphone, Ipod Touch, and future Google Dream Phone are using 480 X 320 262K Color TFT LCD.

If you want to know the screen quality, simply refer to Apple iphone, then you will know how good it is!

Cheers!

well i prefer true 16 millions colors instead of 262k with dithering.

i mean...16 millions colors LTPS screens are not that expensive anymore.

well...it's trues i don't really listen to the radio when i use my player in a car (Aux. cable), plus, i could always carry my T5-II around.

will it REALLY be the BF547 at 600Mhz? or it'll be a slower chip?

remember you said that the BF547 is 533Mhz, but on the official Analog Devices, it really is 600Mhz.

http://www.analog.com/en/embedded-processing-dsp/blackfin/adsp-bf547/processors/product.html

i wonder if the BF547 on the T5-II was underclocked or something...

so, what i want to know is...will it REALLY play videos with AVI Xvid codec, 720x576 at 30fps, with a quality of around 1200mbps without any problem?

why only MP3 and OGG audio codecs?

and...will the cooling work better on the TAO? because the BlackFin main chip tend to run hot

According to recent review by users, it has been greatly improved. Actually they can't feel the heat on TAO. I believe SmartQ Engineers has modified the internal design.

So no worries.

First batch of TAO will arrive in Singapore in two days. (now in HK airport) Smile

hi got myself a TAO media player a few days ago, video playback is good =)

However I got a question: At the main menu say"Video" if I press the "enter" pad the device seems to interpret me pressing it twice and plays the movie inside the video folder directly! I tried a few times and only managed to go into the video folder of my SD card by pressing and holding the "enter" button for abt 2-3 secs. Is it supposed to work this way, or is my "enter" button too sensitive? Please advice
